BACKGROUND

The Client is developing a large data centre facility in the US.  As part of this project the client has purchased a number of used GTs and required them to be dismantled and relocated.  Our team completed the upfront due diligence and advisory services for the relocation of 3 off GE 6FB units.  This is a fast-track project to provide power to a mega data centre.

IMPACT

Our Team completed the following:

  • Consultation on equipment condition with dismantling strategy and upgrade plan
  • Upfront due diligence resulted in a focused priority of equipment relocation
  • All parts inventoried and recorded on our bespoke inventory platform – Client has full tracking on equipment especially during transport
  • Expedited the digitization of 30 year old engineering information. This was catalogued, reviewed and a thorough gap analysis conducted. – This enabled the engineering to get a head start on the plant design for the new location
  • Continued support as required during upgrade and reinstall
