North American Energy Services Expands Renewables Portfolio With the White Creek Wind Farm

Issaquah, WA, 06/08/2007 -- ISSAQUAH, WA - North American Energy Services Company (NAES), a broad-based provider of services to the power generation industry, announces that it has signed an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) agreement with White Creek Wind I, LLC. NAES will provide O&M services for the 205 MW White Creek wind farm located in Klickitat County, Washington. Under the agreement, NAES will develop and implement site-specific operational programs, conduct routine and preventive maintenance, coordinate and manage the OEM service agreement, conduct operations to optimize power generation, prepare and monitor budgets and operating plans, and prepare and maintain operating logs and reports.

The wind farm, scheduled to achieve commercial operations near year-end, features Siemens 2.3 MW MK II wind turbines, which employ features designed for noise and grid control at a high penetration of wind power. Power is sold via power purchase agreements with Public Utility District No. 1 of Klickitat County; Public Utility District No. 1 of Cowlitz County; Tanner Wind Energy, Inc.; and LL&P Wind Energy, Inc. Energy is transmitted via the transmission systems of Klickitat County PUD and Bonneville Power Administration.

NAES will be supported by Global Energy Concepts (GEC) of Seattle via a services contract. GEC is a leading multi-discipline engineering and technology consulting firm providing services to clients involved in the wind energy industry. In the case of White Creek, GEC will provide technical support that complements the services provided by NAES.

NAES, headquartered in Issaquah, Washington, is the industry's largest independent, third-party provider of power plant operations and maintenance services, with an experience base of more than 35,000 MW of generation capacity in a wide range of technologies, fuels, locations, customers and modes of operation. In renewable energy, NAES has operating experience in geothermal, biomass, waste-to-energy, and hydroelectric. With the additions of wind and biosolids projects, NAES is believed to have the broadest portfolio of renewable energy projects in the marketplace. With additional offices in New York City, Pittsburgh, Carneys Point, Portland, and Houston, NAES also provides O&M support, maintenance, construction and repair, gas and steam turbine field maintenance and component repair, and the placement of temporary technical and management personnel to the generation industry.

NAES is owned by ITOCHU International Inc., the U.S. affiliate of ITOCHU Corporation. With operations in over 80 countries covering a broad range of industries, ITOCHU is among the world's largest corporations.
