Our History
NAES is a long term, successful company with staying power. Formed in 1980, we are a profitable and growing generation services company. With a core business of operations and maintenance, we also possess an expanding presence in major maintenance services, field inspection services, technical support services, staffing services and parts refurbishment and repair. We are in the O&M and generation services business to stay.
2008: North American Energy Services changes to NAES Corporation, retaining the NAES brand name. NAES continues growing its renewable energy profile that includes:

- Biosolids processing
- Geothermal
- Hydroelectric
- Waste-to-Energy

2007: NAES acquires Westmoreland Technical Services, forms the Operational Maintenance Services division, and expands its growing renewables portfolio.
2006: NAES establishes itself as the leading third-party operator in the generation industry with over 100 facilities totaling more than 27,000 MW.
2005: NAES establishes NAES Power Contractors (PMRI and AB&C) and the Turbine Services division (OSI and TriStar).
2004: NAES acquires American Boiler & Chimney Co. (AB&C) to add a major maintenance presence on the East Coast.
2003: NAES acquires OSI to enhance its steam and combustion turbine field services.
2003: NAES acquires COSC, a long standing East Coast O&M provider to add presence on the East Coast and broaden its technology, safety, and environmental capabilities.
2002: NAES acquires TriStar Turbine Technologies, Inc. (TriStar) to provide steam and combustion turbine component repair and refurbishment services.
2001: Itochu International Inc. acquires NAES.
1987: NAES forms the Power Plant Operations and Technical Support Services Division to provide O&M and support services to the growing independent power movement.
1986: NAES expands its business offerings to include staffing services.
1983: NAES expands its business offerings to include maintenance and modification services separated into a wholly owned subsidiary, Power Maintenance Resources, Inc. (PMRI).
1980: NAES is formed by four Northwest electric utilities to provide project management services in support of utility Owners.
