Environmental Policy

Our Corporate attitude reflects our respect for the delicacy of the World in which we live and conduct our business. Our activities support this attitude through our commitment to protect our environment and to consider environmental impacts in our planning and decisions.

NAES has ultimate responsibility for its activities and will communicate with its employees and its customers to promote mutual understanding of the environmental impacts of our actions. We will comply with the letter and intent of the law by reducing our impact on the environment to meet legislated standards, and will also better those standards whenever economically and physically practicable. We promote the efficient use of resources by minimizing generation of wastes from our operations and recycling where it makes sense to do so.

Whether NAES is a contractor or a consultant, our employees will cooperate completely with the environmental programs and policies implemented by our customers. If we are confronted with situations we feel call for actions which may be outside the law, we will comply with the law and take immediate action to inform our customers of our concerns.

When NAES contracts for third party activities, we expect the contracted organizations to comply with our Policy.

It is the responsibility of all NAES employees to comply with this Policy, and to inform NAES management of actual or potential environmental non-compliance. When exceedances, excursions, spills, or other cases of environmental non-compliance occur, the problem will be corrected and reported in the most expeditious and timely manner to comply with the law. Failure to comply with the law and this Policy will not be tolerated. Any actions taken by employees to ignore or cover up exceedances, excursions, spills or other cases of environmental non-compliance will be dealt with seriously, to include dismissal.

We will audit and monitor our compliance with all applicable laws, permits, agreements, regulations, and the objectives of this Policy. We will take appropriate action to correct noted deficient areas, keep accurate and complete information, and make regular reports to NAES management.

This Policy is disseminated to each of our employees and customers.
